About On The Bit Events

Liz Oertel Johnson, the creator and owner of On The Bit Events, LLC, began this company in 2013 to be able to combine her passion for horse shows, event planning, project management and her overall love for horses. As an avid rider & competitor, Liz understands the needs of both organizers, competitors and their equine partners. She is a USDF Bronze medalist and a USDF certified instructor. Liz completed her Master's of Project Management at Granite State College in the Fall of 2013.  She brings this knowledge and network as an asset to On The Bit Events.

On The Bit Events, LLC was created in order to support the running of high quality dressage shows, horse trials, and other equine events in the New England area. On The Bit Events strengths lay in the pre-show organization, entry processing, scheduling, scoring, and archiving results and show data for every show we are involved with. Tailored packages can be created to help suit each individual client’s needs as a pre-event consultant.

We can assist existing show management teams in staffing and solving any issues that may arise, such as finding vendors, advertising and solving staffing needs from contracting recognized officials to  fully trained scoring teams and site managers. We also have experience planning clinics, open-houses, hunter-paces, trade show campaigns, weddings and other events.
